The rainforest is extremely lush, filled with howling monkeys, exotic birds, insects, tropical fruits and coffee. You cannot tell where the rainforest ends and the organic coffee plantation begins. Our Colombian coffee farmers are the last hope on the front lines of rainforest preservation. Working directly with these dedicated farmers helps to preserve the land, the tribal way, animal species, and produces the healthiest, top quality, micro lot coffee for our loyal connoisseurs. . The farmers agreed to harvest only the ripe, heavy cherries exclusively from Typica trees for Urth Caffé. This year’s Colombian lot is only 10 hand selected bags of zero defect coffee - representing less than 1% of the total crop. The coffee is light roasted and has a superb flavor, sparkle and complexity of roasted peanuts, and sweet, red grapes.
